About Course

Intro to Pro Tools is an introductory level course that introduces students to the industry-standard digital audio workstation (DAW) Pro Tools, focusing on essential skills for music tracking and mixing. Students will learn to navigate the interface, set up sessions, record and edit audio, and apply foundational mixing techniques. By the end of the course, students will have the confidence to operate Pro Tools for basic engineering tasks in both home and professional studio environments.

Pro Tools Setup & Navigation

Learn session setup, interface navigation, track types, and essential system preferences.



Recording in Pro Tools

Capture clean audio using proper routing, gain staging, and recording modes.



Audio Editing

Apply tools, modes, comping, crossfades, and clip gain to refine performances.



Mixing Fundamentals

Use EQ, compression, and reverb with stock plugins to achieve balanced mixes.



Session Management

Clean up, organize, consolidate, and prepare sessions for delivery or collaboration.



Export & Delivery

Bounce stereo mixes, stems, and archives for professional handoff.
