Music Theory for DJs is a 4-week class that explores essential music theory concepts for DJs, with a focus on key identification, harmonic compatibility, and creative transitions. Instead of traditional composition, students learn how theory can guide song selection, mixing techniques, and live performance strategies. You’ll explore tools like Mixed In Key and Rekordbox, study the Camelot Wheel, and apply core ideas from the circle of fifths to craft sonically fluid DJ sets.
