About Course

Producing and Mixing Modern Dance Music in Logic Pro shows you how to build a modern dance track from a simple loop to a DJ-ready master entirely inside Logic Pro. You’ll follow Morsy step by step as he shapes drums, bass, musical layers, vocals, arrangement, mix, and master, and walk away with a repeatable workflow you can reuse on your own tracks. You will see every stage of the process in context, from sound selection to mastering, so you learn how each move supports a clean, energetic track.

What You’ll Learn

Building The Rhythm

Build a tight drum and bass foundation with punchy kicks, claps, hats, and a layered main bass and sub that lock together and hit clean on club systems.

Low-End Control

Use ghost kicks, sidechain compression, EQ, and basic multiband control so the kick and bass stay powerful without fighting each other or distorting.

Adding Supportive Layers

Write chords, leads, pads, and simple melodic hooks, then shape them with EQ, compression, and level so they add energy without crowding the low end.

Vocal Chops and FX

Turn simple vocal samples into rhythmic chops with Quick Sampler, reverb, delay, panning, and sidechain, plus fills and FX to create tension and release.

Organization for Faster Mixing

Group and label tracks into clear summing stacks (kick, drums, bass, instruments, vocals, FX) so arrangement, balance, and mix decisions stay simple even as the project grows.

Turning a Loop Into a Full Arrangement

Expand an 8 or 16 bar loop into a full track with intros, drops, breakdowns, and outros using mutes, edits, risers, drum changes, and energy lifts every few bars.

Automation for Builds and Drops

Use filter, volume, and FX automation on groups and key tracks to design DJ-friendly builds and drops that feel controlled instead of chaotic.

Mixing and Mastering

Bounce a premaster and build a mastering chain with EQ, glue compression, stereo imaging, clipping, and limiting to reach competitive loudness while keeping the track clear and punchy.
